Present Use: Presently in use as a restaurant.
Size:
Large. This would have been a large size Sambo's (Double window
booths. Row of Double Booths, Row of Single Booths, Counter with
Stools. Possible back room with tables.
Building Condition: (1-10) "10" - 10 would be considered as good
as if Sambo's.
OUTSIDE
Googie: This is a Googie designed Sambo's.
Original Design: Original constructed design still intact. Only
additions are a small wood awning to the front door, an A frame
design roof added above Googie Fascia and an addition room added
in the back. However, Boomerang door handles still present.
Rock Entry Area: Original rock still present. No signs of sign mountings
present or area large enough for 8' sign.
Windows: Full original window area present but tastefully
covered with original slatted windows in rock wall area, covered
as well.
Palm Trees: None present. Cold weather area.
Sign:
Original post and sign removed.
INSIDE
Counter: Counter and stools removed.
Booths: All booths removed and replaced for "on the
spot" cooking use.
Kitchen: "Pass over shelf" and opening to kitchen
removed and covered.
COMMENTS
This building is still in its original googie design. Would need
major work to bring back to Sambo's design on the inside. The
building has been kept very well.

COMMENTS
I will be back to try the food out. I know they do well here
because they've been open at this location since Sambo's closed
in 1982. They also have a 1982 article from the local newspaper
framed on the wall for viewing.
