Size: Medium. This would have been a medium size Sambo's (Double window booths. Single row of single booths. Counter with Stools.
Building Condition: (1-10) "10"

OUTSIDE
Googie: This is not a Googie designed Sambo's. This a Modern Contemporary.
Original Design: Original constructed design not all intact.
Rock Entry Area: Original brick style wall not existing. No signs of sign mountings present.
Windows: Full original window view not all present.
Palm Trees: No palm trees present due to area.
Sign: Original sign post present. Not original sign.

INSIDE
Counter: Counter and stools removed.
Register Counter: Not original
Booths: All booths removed.
Kitchen: "Pass over shelf" and opening to kitchen not original or present to see. Prep area gone.

COMMENTS
This building has been so modified, hard to see what would be original. The front, as in most all former Sambo's now owned by Village Inn, has an additional extention section added to the full window area. This store has also had additional siding added to the outside over hang with supports as well. If you pay close attention to the photos, you will see what I mean and will also see the original still there where they added on. Inside was totally changed and just redone again before I got there. Had a good lunch and when paying my bill, I handed them my card and they showed me a Sambo's Fremont Wooden Nickel that they keep in the draw at all times.
