COMMENTS
This Googie design was exclussively used for the once growing chain "Thunderbird Motorlodge". These were the only Sambo's that were required to accompany a Cocktail Lounge, which was located in a basement below the restaurant. Stairway to the lounge were located in the front of the restaurant near the entrance. All of these specially designed restaurants still exist.
